Youth Ministry
No formal registration is required to join any of our Youth Groups. Participants are asked to sign in, and if you wish, to leave your e-mail addresses, so that we can send you information and updates on our activities. Visitors are always welcome, and we always have room for new regular members. Don’t know anyone? Bring a friend or two!

Youth Group is a safe, fun, supervised activity for tweens, teenagers, and young adults, with no membership fees, no uniforms to buy, and no equipment to rent. Save your money for school! Register for e-mail updates on Youth activities at St. Cecilia’s, at stceciliayouth@shaw.ca
Young Adults (18+). Finished for the summer. Next meeting TBA. Our World Youth Day group has joined with the group from the University of Calgary, headed by Eden de Souza - their next meeting is taking place on August 18th at St. Bonaventure Church at 7:00 pm.
Senior High Youth Group (Grades 10-12) is off for the summer. Time is 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, on Wednesdays from mid-September to mid-June, except for school holidays. Next meeting is September 15th, in the LOFT. Watch for the blue and yellow sign.
Junior Youth Group (from Confirmation to Grade 9) is off for the summer. Time is 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm, on Mondays from mid-September to mid-June, except for school holidays. Welcome to the newly Confirmed!
One way to keep learning about and practicing your faith is to become part of our Junior Youth Ministry. Our next meeting will take place on September 13th in the LOFT. Watch for our blue and yellow sign.
In addition to regular meetings, all Youth Group participants are also strongly encouraged to participate in service projects and community-building activities related to the building up of the ministry of our parish, and also in events that are provided for all the youth of our Deanery and of our Diocese. These activities usually take place outside of regular meeting times, and will be announced as the information about them becomes available.

| Bowling at Toppler’s | Wednesday, August 4th, 1:00 pm | Meet at the Church at 1:00 pm. We’ll take the bus to Toppler’s, and play two games. (Please bring exact change for bus fare.) We’ll most likely be finished by about 3:30. Snacks will be provided. Bring $10.25 for two games plus shoes. |
| - Calgary Corn Maze | Tuesday August 10th 10:00 am | Drivers needed. Admission is $10.00 for adults and $8.00 for youth. Pack a picnic lunch, snacks, and drinks. (Jumping pillow and Corn Cannon cost extra.) We’ll meet at St. Cecilia’s at 10:00 am and then drive out together. |
| Summer Wake-a-Thon | August 13-14, 5:00 pm to 7:00 am | Our theme is Holy Superstars. This will be a fundraising event. Download your pledge forms. This will take place in the Loft and Parish Hall at St.Cecilia’s. |

Altar Servers’ Guild - Contact Pavla Drapal after any Saturday 5:00 pm Mass to join the Altar Servers’ Guild. Members, please check your schedule regularly.
Youth Choir - The Youth Choir sings at the 5:00 pm Mass. All youth are welcome to participate. Please contact Pavla Drapal after any Saturday 5:00 pm Mass for rehearsal times and locations.

Children’s Liturgy - There are Children’s Liturgy programs at both the 9:00 am and at the 11:00 am Mass. No registration is required. All children are welcome to join in the fun. Dismissal takes place immediately after the Opening Prayer, and the children return to rejoin their parents at the time of the Offertory.
